The gallery opening was a lot of fun. Many good friends, family, and surprise guests joined us. Melanie took a bit of video towards the end of the night, but it is just cool to see the atmosphere and all the artwork on the walls. I was both proud and honored that so many people came out.
Thanks everyone! I’m working on making the Fine Art website more user friendly, so if you have any suggestions please let me know. I’m not a web developer, but I’ll see what I can do.
The Gallery Show at Xnihilo has officially kicked off!!! I’m going to post some photos of opening night when I get a chance, but for now.. the new site is live! This is a mini version of my new (fine art) site, hosted by photoshelter.
Bob Loblaw’s Law Blog1 has probably gotten more action than this one in the last month… Sorry faithful followers. I have been around and have thought about writing and posting wonderful images of Brides and Grooms, but something has come up…. I found out a little while ago that I have been chosen by a gallery in Houston to showcase some of my Landscape Artwork. So from June 27th to August 7th, you can stop by the Xnihilo Gallery at the Ecclesia Arts Center to see the very latest and best of my fine art photography. I’m really excited about this and it has certainly lit a fire under my butt to get my work organized. That is why I’ve been bad at blogging. I promise.
On a related note, on my splash page, the link that says ‘Fine Art Gallery Coming Soon’ will soon read ‘Fine Art Gallery’. Thanks for bearing with me through all this. I’m still here, still shooting, I’m just adding more irons to the fire. God bless you guys. Stay tuned.
1 – reference to Arrested Development. Don’t be confused, just go watch it.
A few months ago I announced that I would be giving away 2 weddings this year. And now, I get to announce the big winners!
For the Big Heart Giveaway…
The story of how Kristen & Matthew met is strikingly similar to how Melanie and I met: First day of classes at Baylor, girl sits in front of the guy, guy checks her out, she’s currently dating someone, guy is patient and persistent and, of course, charming and ultimately wins the girl!! (This is of course told from the guys perspective.)
I’m super excited to get to know these guys and to get to be a part of their wedding!
and for the Getaway Giveaway…
I’m happy to get to shoot this couple’s wedding. They are truly awesome people with a heart for serving and loving others. Their application was just amazing. We aren’t going to a beach, we’re going to New England!
Already, I can tell that both of these weddings are going to be a blast. Both couples seem so excited and thankful. I’m also thankful just to be able to do bless others as I’ve been blessed.
Thanks for everyone who applied for the giveaways, I hope to do this again sometime, so check back in!
